SOTD: LYNYRD SKYNYRD-FREE BIRD

 

  Do I seriously need to say anything? It's Free Bird. Like seriously! Apparently there are some people who don't know this song and obviously they live under a deeper rock than I do. You still want it? Ok fine.

 
    The year is 1973 and the band release their self titled debut album with a very useful subtitle that unfortunately goes largely unnoticed even to this day ("(Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd)"). The song, as those of you uncultured cavemen are soon to discover, was so freaking awesome it launched them into Pan-American stardom instantly and cemented their reputation as rock giants.

 
    And it will make you bring your lighters out. It will rock your socks off. And it will give you multiple orgasms.

   Fun fact: You will notice, like many other songs, this doesn't really come to an end, but fades out instead. There is a reason of that. The solo never actually ended. They just ran out of space on the acetate.
