MUSTA PARAATI NEW SINGLE "THE LEADER" OUT NOW + OFFICIAL VIDEO RELEASE!

 

   The moment you've been waiting for has finally arrived! After three years without a new song, the first single off Musta Paraati's first album in 34 years is finally here.

   The song, called 'The Leader", is the english version of their 1983 single "Johtaja", and despite receiving a makeover with heavier sounds, more prominent bass, Jyrki69's baritone vocals and overall more glossy edit, it stands its ground against the original version. Indeed, if you put the two versions one against the other, it is like looking at different sides of the same coin. The same, but not the same, but still the same.

   An awesome song by all accounts, I can't say I am very fond of the video, which, released by LA based Cleopatra records, is all too american for my taste and I feel doesn't do justice to the song- the band is hardly seen, of the entire ensemble the vocalist is the main focus, and even he is lost in favour of dancing people dominating the screen, but we can't have it all in this life and neither is it possible to please everyone. A small inconvenience for finally being able to listen to the song we have been getting our panties in a knot about, considering the release date had been pushed back a couple times already.
